Bristol University Spring Ball

Kings Weston House in Bristol is a unique venue, we were asked by the Bristol University Spring Ball committee to design and implement lighting and sound for their recent spring ball. Over 750 law students gathered at the end of their year to celebrate an let their hair down.

We decorated three dining rooms with our fairy light canopy and round shades which reduced the ceiling height and made the space much more intimate and magical.

We decorated six rooms in total including a large marquee in the grounds. A fabulous event to work on and we can report back that with 750 enthusiastic law student all went well with no law suits imminent!.

Watch Video of a Circus Themed Party

We were asked by Babington House in Somerset to create a Circus Themed party in their Orangery for over 300 of their members and guests. With only 3 weeks to create a circus big top in luxurious Red and Cream fabric, Ali Peirce whipped out her sewing machine and started sewing like a dervish. Three weeks later we installed the circus tent and Ali breathed a huge sigh of relief as her maths (not her strongest ability) had not let her down.
Meanwhile, Nigel Peirce designed the lighting, staging and sound to accommodate three live acts and three djs including Huey Morgan, Daisy Lowe and Nigel who played the warm-up and final set of the very successful night.
Watch the video which includes a time-lapse sequence of the setting up including the entrance of a scissor life that nearly went through the floor!
